3-hour delays implemented

In an effort to maintain as much instructional time as we can, and to minimize the number of days we must cancel, the Ada Exempted Village School District will begin to consider and enact a Three Hour Delay option, beginning March 4.  On a three-hour delay day, all students will still be fed lunch, and the day will NOT be extended. We will end at our usual ending time, just as we do for two-hour delays. We appreciate the teachers’ and classified employees’ associations being flexible to allow for an agreement that allows this type of flexibility.  On some snow or ice days and many fog days, one more hour can make a difference between safe travel and unsafe travel. You will be alerted to three hour delays in the same manner as two hour delays and cancellations are announced, via text alert, social media pages, and via your favorite news source already used to announce other types of calamity day schedules.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call the school.
