Ada, Ohio — Ada Exempted Village Schools is proud to announce its successful efforts to earn the Heart Safe School Designation through Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This recognition highlights the district’s strong commitment to cardiac emergency preparedness and student safety.

Over the past several months, the district has worked diligently to complete the Heart Safe School Program Checklist. This process includes comprehensive staff training, increased awareness, and the development of a well-practiced cardiac emergency response plan designed to protect students, staff, and visitors.

On May 4, 2026, Ada Schools conducted its final emergency drill with a representative from Nationwide Children’s Hospital in attendance. Following the successful drill, the district was presented with a banner and certificate, officially recognizing Ada Schools as a Project ADAM Heart Safe School.
