Dr. Britton Devier, K-12 Assistant Principal at Ada Middle and High School, has been named the 2026 Zone 5 Middle School Assistant Principal of the Year by the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA).
The award recognizes outstanding middle school assistant principals across Ohio who demonstrate exceptional leadership, dedication to students, and commitment to their school communities. Nominations were submitted by students, staff members, administrators, and colleagues from across the state.
According to OASSA, the organization’s Board of Directors, working alongside Zone Directors, selected winners from each of Ohio’s ten zones. These educators now advance as finalists in the statewide selection process. Later this year, four overall state winners will be chosen from this group of distinguished leaders to represent Ohio.
Dr. Devier serves as the K-12 Assistant Principal at Ada Exempted Village Schools and has been recognized for his leadership and commitment to supporting students, staff, and families throughout the district.
All Zone winners will be honored during the OASSA Fall Conference in October 2026.
