Welcome Back, Ada Families!

As we prepare to welcome a new school year, there is a special sense of anticipation in the air. The hallways may still be quiet, but our classrooms are taking shape, and teachers are putting the finishing touches on their plans.  Monday, our buildings will come alive once again with the energy, laughter, curiosity, and excitement that only our students can bring. 

For some of our students, August brings familiar faces and comfortable routines. For others, it brings a new school, a new teacher, a new grade level, or perhaps the very first day of school. No matter where your child is on that journey, a new school year brings a fresh opportunity to learn, grow, and discover what they are capable of becoming.

As a parent, you know your child better than anyone. You know what makes them smile, what motivates them, what worries them, and when they need an extra word of encouragement. Our teachers and staff have the privilege of getting to know another side of your child: their curiosity, their talents, their friendships, their perseverance, and the ways they grow when given the right challenge and support.

That partnership between home and school is one of our greatest strengths.

We know that educating a child is not something a school does alone. It takes parents, families, teachers, support staff, administrators, and our entire Ada community working together. There will be times when we see things differently, and there may be moments when questions or concerns arise. When that happens, I hope we will always approach one another with respect, openness, and the shared understanding that we all want what is best for your child.

This year, we will continue to focus on what matters most: providing a safe and welcoming environment, maintaining high expectations, and ensuring that every student has meaningful opportunities to succeed. We want our students to leave us not only academically prepared, but also confident, compassionate, resilient, and ready for whatever comes next.

We also ask for your partnership in the everyday things that make a tremendous difference: encouraging good attendance, establishing healthy routines, making time to talk about school, supporting your child's teachers, and reminding your children that effort, kindness, and perseverance matter.

Most importantly, thank you for trusting Ada Exempted Village Schools with your children. We understand the responsibility that comes with that trust, and we do not take it lightly. Every student who walks through our doors is deeply valued, and our staff is committed to making sure every child knows that they matter, and that there are adults here who believe in them.
