Ada Exempted Village Schools was awarded $16,101 in grant funds from the Ohio School Bus Safety Grant Program to complete safety upgrades to its school buses.
The grant funded the installation of fully illuminated stop signs and LED lighting upgrades on Ada Schools buses. These improvements will help increase visibility and safety for students as they travel to and from school.
The statewide School Bus Safety Grant Program, announced by Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Director Stephen D. Dackin in January 2026, awarded $10 million to 371 schools, districts, and county boards across Ohio to support improvements that make student transportation safer.
