This week, our FFA members had a wonderful time visiting kindergarten to share a lesson all about cows! Students learned where milk comes from, how cows are cared for, and why agriculture is so important in our daily lives.

To top it off, the group wrapped up their lesson with a hands-on (and delicious!) activity — making homemade ice cream using milk, rock salt, and ice. The kindergarteners loved shaking their bags and watching science turn into a sweet treat!

We’re proud of our FFA students for representing the values of the National FFA Organization and for serving as great role models for our youngest Bulldogs. Great job!

At last night’s Board of Education meeting, the 2026–2027 school calendar was officially approved!

Enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year will begin in March — be watching for more information coming soon.

Please note an important update for families: House Bill 114 has changed kindergarten admission requirements. Children must turn five years old on or before the first day of the school year to enroll. Admission is now tied directly to the first day of instruction, which on our adopted calendar is August 24, 2026.

This is different from years past, so we want to be sure families are aware of the first day of school as they plan ahead. We look forward to another great year at Ada Schools!

Ada High School Physical Science students recently explored energy in action during their Kinetic and Potential Energy Lab!

Students investigated the relationship between kinetic energy and gravitational potential energy by dropping a variety of balls from different heights and measuring how high they bounced. Through hands-on experimentation, they were able to observe how energy transforms as objects fall and rebound. Learning is always more impactful when students can see science at work right in front of them!

Mr. Klein’s Calculus and Algebra I class made learning delicious this week....

Students explored exponential growth and decay through a hands-on lab modeling how populations change when their rate of growth (or decay) is proportional to their current size. Using M&Ms to visualize cell growth and decay made complex concepts both engaging and memorable. Great job turning math into a deliciously fun learning experience!

Ada High School Gym Class teamed up with our friends at Ada Preschool to share the importance of staying active.

Mrs. Bass talked with preschoolers about why moving our bodies matters, how to listen to our heart rate, and how regular activity helps us stay strong and healthy. The high school students, led the preschoolers through four different activity stations—keeping everyone moving, learning, and smiling!

It was a great day of leadership, learning, and lots of energy. We love seeing our Bulldogs supporting and inspiring one another at every age!

Ada Third Graders had a special visit last week from Amanda Raines, 4-H Extension Educator! Amanda brought incredible enthusiasm and passion as she shared the value and opportunities of 4-H with our students. You could truly say she wore her passion on her sleeve — and everywhere else — as she arrived dressed as a hot dog! All in good fun, her creative costume helped students connect with the message and learn about the Four H’s: Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.

Thank you, Amanda, for inspiring our students and showing them how they can get involved in 4-H!
