Today, we proudly recognize and thank Ada Schools’ School Resource Officer, Deputy Joey Carl, for his dedication to our students, staff, and community. 💙🖤

The School Resource Officer role is truly unique within law enforcement. SROs serve in a three-part role—acting as informal mentors and counselors, law educators, and law enforcement officers. Every day, Deputy Carl builds positive relationships with students, supports staff, and helps ensure our schools remain safe and welcoming places to learn and grow.

Thank you, Deputy Carl, for all you do!

February is Love the Bus Month! Ada is joining with schools and communities everywhere to show our appreciation for the yellow school bus and the incredible drivers who keep students moving safely each day!

It’s the perfect time to celebrate the rides, routes, and friendly faces that help learning happen. Love the Bus Month puts the spotlight on the buses—and the people behind them—who make getting to school safe, dependable, and full of possibility.

Friendly reminder: Elementary students will continue to go outside for recess when weather permits. Fresh air and movement are important—even during the colder months!

Please keep in mind that when there is snow or water on the playground, students may get wet while playing or running. If students choose to play in water or snow without proper gear, they may feel cold, wet, or uncomfortable. We encourage families to talk with their children about this and to send coats, gloves, hats, boots, and other appropriate winter clothing to help them stay warm and dry.

Thank you for your support in helping our Bulldogs stay prepared for winter recess!

THANK YOU, ADA ELEMENTARY! 💛 We are so proud of our K–5 Bulldogs for stepping up and making a BIG impact through the SOUPER Bowl Challenge! Thanks to the generosity and teamwork of our elementary students and families, 670 food items were donated to support local food banks and homeless shelters in partnership with the United Way of Hardin County.

A special shoutout goes to Mrs. Porter’s Kindergarten class, who brought in the most items—way to lead the way! 🎉👏

This friendly competition showed what true community spirit looks like, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who helped fill our buckets and hearts. Thank you for supporting Ada Elementary and making a difference right here in our community!

Recently, our American Sign Language (ASL) 3 and 4 classes had the opportunity to visit Liberty Village Preschool right here at Ada Exempted Village Schools!

ASL 3 students shared developmentally appropriate signs with the preschoolers, focusing on fun topics like animals, numbers, and food. ASL 4 students brought stories to life by reading popular children’s books and teaching signs that matched the stories.

Most importantly, this visit created meaningful connections between our littlest Bulldogs and our high school students. It was a wonderful example of learning, leadership, and Bulldog pride in action!

Meet the smiling faces that keep our buildings running smoothly! Our amazing building secretaries recently got the caricature treatment, and the results are just as fun and full of personality as they are.

These are the friendly voices answering your calls, greeting students and families, and helping keep each school day on track. We’re so lucky to have such welcoming, hardworking Bulldogs at the front lines of our schools!

Take a look, have a laugh, and give a big shout-out to our incredible secretaries — Ada Schools wouldn’t be the same without them!
