In Mr. Wells’ high school art class, Advanced Ceramic students took on a unique challenge to sharpen their skills — throwing a bowl blindfolded using only their sense of touch!
Each blindfolded potter had a partner acting as their “spotter,” giving verbal directions every step of the way. With focus, communication, and a lot of trust, every student successfully threw a bowl on the wheel — an impressive accomplishment!
👏 Blindfolded potters: Katie Riblet, Callie Burgess, Easton Lee, and Andrew Allen
👏 Spotters: Jacob Henson, Olivia Burkheimer, Alex Gibson, and Reese Jordan
What an incredible example of creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in action!

Through this work, students are learning the engineering behind building strong, accurate wooden frames—understanding measurements, load support, precision, and the importance of planning before construction. Projects like these help connect classroom learning to real-world skills, giving students valuable insight into how engineering principles are applied in building and manufacturing.
We’re proud of the problem-solving, teamwork, and craftsmanship happening in our Bulldog classrooms!

The Ada High School Cheerleaders hosted an exciting Youth Cheer Clinic over the break. Our young cheerleaders had a blast rehearsing and learning cheers alongside the high school and junior high cheer squads.
The youth participants proudly performed what they learned during halftime of the Varsity Basketball game. The night was full of excitement as both the JV and Varsity Bulldogs won their games! 🏀

Ada Occupational Therapy recently partnered with Ohio Northern University’s engineering program to create innovative movement supports for our students. Ada Elementary Occupational Therapist Nichole Dearth teamed up with Dr. France and ONU engineering students to redesign chair bands for students who benefit from movement—making them industrial-strength and truly amazing! 🙌
After meeting together to discuss functionality and student needs, the ONU students, including Robert Crossland and Evan Ruga pictured here, put their engineering skills to work. The result? 10 new sets of durable chair bands that will help our students stay focused, regulated, and ready to learn through movement.
We’re so grateful for this hands-on partnership and the positive impact it will have in our classrooms. 💜🐾

🎄 Merry Christmas! 💜💛
Wishing all of our students, families, staff, and community members a joyful and restful Christmas season. May your holidays be filled with peace, laughter, and time spent with the ones you love.
🌟 Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at Ada Schools! 🐾💜

While school may be on break, our Bulldog athletes are still competing! Check out the upcoming games and competitions and help us show our Bulldog pride by cheering them on.
Let’s pack the stands, support our teams, and celebrate the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes. 💜👏
Go Bulldogs!

Our students had a wonderful time celebrating the season with lots of holiday fun on Friday! Elementary classrooms welcomed amazing parent volunteers who helped plan and lead festive activities filled with smiles, laughter, and creativity. 🎨🎲
Meanwhile, our middle and high school students rotated through classes enjoying holiday-themed fun, social time with friends, and some friendly (and playful!) competitions. 🏆🎉
From start to finish, fun was had all around—and the joy was contagious! Thank you to our staff and parent volunteers for helping make these moments so special for our students. 💚🐾

Our Elementary hallways were bursting with creativity! These handmade works of art from our K–5 students are not only artistically fun and beautiful, but they also support learning, growth, and self-expression.
As a bonus, they’ve transformed our hallways into bright, festive spaces full of cheer and holiday spirit for everyone to enjoy. Great work, K–5 — we love seeing your creativity shine! 🌟🐾
Ms. Daniel’s class fully embraced Grinch Day, and it was nothing but smiles all around! From grinchy crafts to tasty treats and fun-filled activities, the classroom was packed with holiday cheer.
Every Who-student — each boy and girl — showed off their best Grinch smiles and had a Who-lot of fun celebrating together. What a festive and joyful day! 🎨🍪🎶

Ada FFA students had the opportunity to personally deliver books to Ada Elementary students — and the impact was felt on both sides. Smiles, excitement, and heartfelt gratitude filled the hallways as each child received a gift.
As part of the Ada FFA Officers’ Passion Project initiative, students create projects that serve others and make a positive difference. Sophomore Layla Fisher’s project brought that mission to life, allowing her and her fellow FFA members to experience the joy of giving firsthand. Layla coordinated the Book Drive and spearheaded the wrapping of every book.
Thank you to everyone who donated books and supported this project. Because of your generosity, every Ada Elementary student received a wrapped book before Christmas break — a gift of kindness, connection, and a love of reading. 📖🎁💛💜
This holiday season, Ada Schools was proud to support the Ada Food Pantry through the generosity of our students and staff. Ada Elementary students participated in a fun and meaningful Coin Wars fundraiser, while staff joined in by paying to participate in dress-down festive December spirit wear — all for a great cause!
Thanks to these efforts, we were able to donate $2,145.18 to the Ada Food Pantry, which supports our Bulldog Backpack Blessings Program and serves countless families throughout our community. We are incredibly grateful to our students and staff for their kindness, generosity, and commitment to giving back. Together, we truly made a difference this season. 🐾❤️
