The Team Tressel Fitness Challenge has officially started! 💪
Ada Schools is excited to join this NEW 90-day challenge for students in grades 4–8. 💪 Students are receiving program details and heard how they’ll set personal wellness goals in three key areas:
✅ Physical Activity
✅ Nutrition
✅ Sleep
At the end of the challenge, every participant will receive a certificate signed by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jim Tressel! 🏅
Students will get reminders during certain class times, but it’s up to them to track progress and achieve their goals outside of school. Families can learn more about the challenge in this guide: 👉 Family Guide

In her memory, contributions were given to help cover lunch fees for families who are unable to pay. 📢 Health Partners of Western Ohio will be coming to Ada Schools again this school year.
Families can consent to participate in dental, vision, or both screenings. 🦷 Dental screenings consist of an exam by a dentist, a cleaning, and the application of silver fluoride for the treatment of cavities. 👓Vision screenings consist of an exam by an eye doctor and , if necessary, glasses. If families have insurance, their insurance is billed- otherwise, the exam and follow up is free of charge! This is a great program- let me know if there are any students who could benefit and I will follow up 1:1 with families.
The date for dental screenings is Friday, October 10, 2025. The team will return to apply silver fluoride for students with cavities on October 13 and 15. The dates for vision screenings are March, 18 and 19, 2026. These screenings are available for all Ada School students, K-12.

This Friday after school, we will be conducting our annual state-required bus safety drill. As a result, buses will be running approximately 10–15 minutes later than usual.
